Netball analyst Neffie Kammata has praised the improvement shown by several teams in the FDH Premier Netball League this season in their style of play and also their fighting spirit.
Kammata said Vanessa Sisters remain firm favourites to maintain their lead at the top of the table as they face Kia Atlas, who have not registered a single win this season.
“Blue Eagles and Kukoma Diamonds both face tough tests this weekend when the eagles take on Civonetts in the Lilongwe derby and the dynamos take on the tigress in the highly anticipated blantyre derby on Sunday,” she said.
Kammata said there is a possibility of Eagles and the Diamonds to make it to the top by the end of the weekend as both are tied at 11 points but separated by goal difference.
“Vanessa Sisters have a very impressive run in the league as they lead the table with 12 points having only lost a single game out of seven games they have played this season and they have a well decorated squad with tall and determined players,” she said.
On the log table, Civonets, Lioness and MAFCO Soldiers make up a tight chasing pack on 10 points each, keeping the race for the top four wide open heading into Week Five.
At the other end, Prison Queens sit seventh with 4 points, while Tigresses, Pacers, Giants NC and FLC Netball Teams are all locked on just 2 points apiece.
KIA Atlas tallies up the table with zero points from five games, still searching for their first win.
