In a move to enhance agricultural extension services, Dowa District Council has purchased and handed over motorcycles to Agriculture Extension Development Coordinators in the District.
According to the District Commissioner Stallichi Mwambiwa, they have purchased the motorcycles together with other essential agricultural inputs through locally generated revenue.
Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Extension Services in the Ministry of Agriculture, Kenneth Chaula, has commended the Council for the initiative, saying it will strengthen agricultural extension services in the district.
Chaula has since emphasised the ministry’s commitment to supporting the council in continuing the initiative, ensuring sustained progress in agricultural development.
