President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has received a Presidential Honorary Award from Stevens Institute of Technology for his efforts in advancing education for the youth in Malawi and Africa.
Speaking at the Africa-US Presidential Forum in New Jersey, Dr Chakwera hailed the institution’s commitment to educational collaboration, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.
Stevens Institute President, Nariman Farvardin, said they want to strengthen ties between Africa and the U.S and support Africa’s next generation of innovators.
Other honorees included former president Joyce Banda and Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio.
