Presidential Advisor on Civil Society Organisation Martha Kwataine has urged eligible Malawians to register in the ongoing voter registration underway in some districts in the country.
Speaking with MBC after registering at Umbwi Secondary School, Kwataine emphasized the importance of voter registration, pointing out that it empowers citizens to exercise their right to vote in next year’s general election.
“I am here to exercise my right to vote as you cannot exercise your right to vote without being on the MEC register,” Kwataine stated.
Kwataine urged accredited Civil Society Organisations to assist in mobilizing citizens to register.
