NGO champions eco-friendly products to combat climate change effects

XYZ DOSGO Green Initiative, an organisation committed to promoting environmental sustainability, says the use of eco-friendly products is key to addressing climate change challenges.

Programmes Coordinator for the organisation, Aubrey Taulo, made the remarks during an awareness campaign at Chinsapo Market in Lilongwe.

Taulo emphasised the need to adopt sustainable alternatives such as eco-friendly paper bags instead of thin plastics.

According to Taulo, this shift can help tackle issues related to waste management, environmental degradation, and climate change in the country.

Executive Director for GLAYMA Youth and Women Empowerment, an implementing partner in the initiative, Maggie Chikwapulo, expressed her organisation’s commitment to supporting the efforts.

Chinsapo 1 Ward Councillor, Mtemwanenge Mhango praised the initiative, noting that it complements the government’s ongoing efforts to address climate change challenges.
