Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) says the restocking of maize in all its depots across the country is on track.
Senior Public Relations Officer for ADMARC, Theresa Chapulapula, told MBC that the corporation is working around the clock to ensure all depots are fully stocked with maize.
According to Chapulapula, maize sales have already begun in areas hardest hit by hunger, including Blantyre, Nsanje, Chikwawa, Salima, Likoma and Chizumulu Islands just to mention a few.
President Dr Lazarus Chakwera ordered ADMARC to open markets across the country to ensure people have access to food.
