One of the country’s commercial banks NBS Bank, has intensified its efforts to foster the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises SMEs by providing both financial and technical support.
The initiative is being carried out through a series of SME clinics nationwide, with the latest taking place in Mzuzu.
Chief Retail Banking Officer at NBS Bank, Victoria Chanza, emphasized the crucial role SMEs play in the growth of the economy.
She highlighted the bank’s dedicated SME portfolio designed to facilitate the successful participation of SMEs in economic development.
She then acknowledged challenges SMEs face such as collateral requirements or access to capital, which she said NBS Bank is prepared to assist with.
Sella Kafamveka, Managing Director of Posh Investment and a participant at the Mzuzu SME clinic, hailed the bank for helping her expand her business.
“I urge fellow entrepreneurs to leverage the support offered by NBS Bank for the growth of their businesses. My experience demonstrates the valuable assistance the bank provides,” remarked Kafamveka.
The clinics have been conducted in Mzuzu, Lilongwe, and Blantyre, where participants and speakers exchanged valuable business insights and tips.
