This year’s tobacco selling season has raked in $395,313,551 from 132,828,459 kilogrammes sold, just a day before the official closure of the Mzuzu Auction floors.
Spokesperson for the Commission, Telephorus Chigwenembe, confirmed the development.
Chigwenembe indicated that the final seasonal revenue and volumes will be announced soon.
Today’s closure of the market comes about two weeks after Limbe and Kanengo closed sales for the season.
