Mother of seven receives aid from Lions Club following appeal

Blantyre Mpingwe Lions Club has donated food and non-food items to Aida Sabola Fadwick, a Thyolo-based 33-year-old mother of seven, who recently gave birth to triplets at Thyolo District Hospital.

The donation comes in response to an urgent appeal from hospital officials.

Fadwick gave birth to the triplets a month ago and two of the newborns were underweight and required special care in the hospital’s nursery.

Lion Aubrey Mwangonde, President of the Blantyre Mpingwe Lions Club, said the club is committed to aiding the less privileged.

While expressing her gratitude for the support, Fadwick said she did not anticipate conceiving again after her fourth child and now faces challenges in providing for her large family.

The family is also in need of a house as they are temporarily lodging at a relation’s place.
