MALAWI TO BENEFIT FROM SADC, BRICS

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says his interaction with international leaders has strengthened Malawi’s opportunities to secure more funds for the country’s development projects.

Dr Chakwera made the remarks on arrival from South Africa.

The Malawi leader said all the meetings he attended are beneficial to the nation as the country has scaled up efforts to improve the economy through Agriculture, mining and tourism among other strategies.

The Malawi leader left the country on 16 August for Luanda, Angola where he attended the 43rd SADC Summit. He then proceeded to attend the 15th BRICS Summit in Sandton, South Africa.
