TNM Super League’s top three standings remain unchanged as leaders Silver Strikers drew 2-2 against third-placed Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
Silver Strikers now have 30 points, followed by Mighty Wanderers with 21 points, and Kamuzu Barracks, also with 21 points but trailing on goal difference.
Kamuzu Barracks lost their 2-0 lead, with Gregory Nachipo and Hope Namadzunda scoring in the 20th and 22nd minutes of the first half but the Central Bankers responded in the 48th minute through Stanie Davie, with a 73rd-minute strike by Chimwemwe Idana, who was awarded the Man of the Match accolade.

Kamuzu Barracks’ coach, Charles Kamanga, noted that complacency set in but considered the result acceptable.
Silver Strikers’ coach, Peter Mponda, expressed disappointment, citing a lack of concentration that led to early goals conceded.
In Blantyre, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets continue to struggle with form as they have ended in a 1-1 draw against Civil Service United at Kamuzu Stadium.
The visitors opened the scoring with Blessings Malinda in the 53rd minute, but Enerst Petro equalised two minutes later.
Bullets’ Llyod Aaron was named man of the match for his stellar performance.
Aaron, a former Civo player, stated he aimed to prove his worth, calling the accolade a motivator.
Bullets’ coach, Calisto Pasuwa, considered the draw a reasonable outcome but stressed the need for improvement to regain winning form.
Civil’s assistant coach, Willson Chidati, remarked that the point earned was crucial given the match’s difficulty.
Sports analyst James Sangala noted that the game met expectations, expressing hope that teams will peak in the second round.
This result places Bullets sixth with 17 points, while CIVO sits eleventh with 15 points.
In the northern region, Chitipa United enjoyed a goal fest, defeating Baka City 4-1.
Chitipa’s goals came from a brace by Rabson Nyirenda, along with goals from Stimella Muyira and Francis Nyirenda, while Baka’s lone goal was scored by Nelson Sikaona.
Chitipa now sits 14th with 9 points, while Baka remains at the bottom in 16th with 7 points.
In Mzuzu, Mzuzu City Hammers came from behind to beat Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos 2-1, with goals from Isaac Msiska and Wongani Lungu after Dedza’s Promise Kamwendo had opened the scoring.
Hammers now have 21 points, tying with third-placed Kamuzu Barracks and second-placed Mighty Wanderers, but are separated by goal difference and Dedza are 9th with 15 points.
League action resumes mid-week as Silver Strikers host Mzuzu City Hammers at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe, while Wanderers face Chitipa United at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre. In the same city, Bangwe All Stars will play Mighty Tigers at Mpira Stadium, and MAFCO will face Karonga United.
On Thursday, Dedza Dynamos will host Kamuzu Barracks, and Bullets will face FOMO at home.
