Ministry of Education says it will continue to put in place measures to promote quality education in the country, starting from the primary level.
Director of Quality Assurance in the Ministry of Education, Golden Msilimba, made the remarks during the 53rd International Letter-Writing Competition prize presentation ceremony held in Mzuzu City.
Msilimba said learners who have knowledge think strategically, describing it as a catalyst to the achievement of Malawi 2063 education related goals.
MACRA Board Member, Alekeni Menyani, said their goal is to ensure that learners in Malawian schools favourably compete at high level and represent the country in international competitions.

Gift Kansichi, a 15-year-old Form 2 student at Mzuzu Government Secondary, who emerged the overall winner, commended his teachers for their contribution towards his dream.
This year, 440 schools participated in the competition, with Mzuzu Government Secondary School clinching the top position, followed by Elshadai Academy Private Primary School in second place and Merpic Private Primary School in third.
Sponsored by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), MACRA has awarded the top schools with a desktop computer and heavy-duty printer, while the winning student received a laptop, a gold medal, a dictionary, mathematical instruments, a box of writing materials, and 10 notebooks.
