President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has pledged completion and implementation of developmental projects that are in Mzimba District.
Dr Chakwera said government is committed to completing the construction of M’mbelwa University, which will play a crucial role in human capital development for the agriculture sector to increase agricultural productivity.
Chakwera also pledged to work on various road projects to ease transportation of farm produce to markets which will promote trade as the district is a hub of Alagricultural activities.
He was speaking at Edingeni Trading Centre soon after meeting with local chiefs at M’mbelwa Headquarters.
Member of Parliament for the area, Raymond Nkhata, hailed the Chakwera-led administration for demonstrating love to the people of Mzimba through various projects.
Speaking on behalf of Inkosi Yamakhosi M’mbelwa V, Inkosi Mabilabo said as chiefs, they will support the government for the betterment of the country.
