Gaborone United Ladies will face the University of Western Cape in the final of the CAF Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers this Saturday at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre.
University of Western Cape made it to the final this afternoon following a commanding 6-0 victory against Eswatini’s Young Buffaloes with goals from Nondumiso Manengela, Bongeka Gamede, Ntombifikile Ndlovu, Tiffany Kortjie, Koketso Mamabolo, and Sibulele Holweni.
Earlier, Gaborone United secured their spot in the final with a 1-0 win over Herentals Queens.
The final marks the second consecutive final appearance for Gaborone United, who narrowly missed out on the title last year against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The winner of Saturday’s final will secure a place in the continental finals. However, COSAFA will have two representatives in the final eight-team event, as reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns have automatically qualified.
