Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has launched its 2024 – 2028 Country Programming Framework which has agriculture and food system transformation, sustainable natural resources and environment and improved resilience, emergency, preparedness, response and recovery as priority areas that will help improve food systems and productivity in Malawi.
Minister of Agriculture, Sam Kawale, said the framework will help Malawi build a robust agriculture sector to support the well-being of Malawians.
Kawale added that it complements the government’s efforts towards sustainable means of conserving and managing the environment as well as providing ways to improve resilience and emergency preparedness among others.
