COMESA Competition Commission reaches out to Zoe Foundation

COMESA Competition Commission has pledged to continue complementing government’s effort in reaching out to people affected by hunger and other natural disasters.

Head of Finance at the COMESA Competition Commission, Rolland Mhango, made the remarks after donating food and non-food items to Zoe Foundation in Lilongwe, an institution that keeps abandoned and orphaned children.

Mhango said the commission decided to support the foundation as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Temwa Chilenga, founder of Zoe Foundation, said the donation has come at the right time, adding that the festive season will be a merry, thanks to COMESA Competition Commission’s support.

Last year, the organisation also reached out to flood survivors in Chikwawa with food items and made a K10 million donation to the government to assist flood survivors.
