President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is expected today to preside over the celebration of the Muslim World League’s 25 years of programmes in Malawi. The event will take place at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.
For the past 25 years, the Muslim World League has been providing essential disaster relief to Malawians. The organisation has also been instrumental in supporting vulnerable women, including widows, and has offered educational bursaries to orphans.
In addition to these efforts, the Muslim World League has implemented various projects across agriculture, healthcare, and the provision of potable water to communities in need.
The organisation’s overarching aim is to foster understanding, peace, and cooperation among diverse communities, while addressing critical social and economic challenges.
