Eight outstanding players have been nominated for the Rainbow Paints Blantyre District Netball League Player of the Week Award.
The nominees include Mercy Kambalame from Airforce Sisters, Grecelia Banda of Prison Queens, MUBAS goal shooter Gladys Andson, Pacers goal defender Christina Type, Grace Chazungulila of Kukoma Diamonds, Giants goalkeeper Esther Phiri, Elizabeth Stonard from Shizaela Queens, and Wongani Biton of Blantyre Tremors.
The award, sponsored by GM Plastics Industry, allows fans to vote for their favorite player on the company’s Facebook page.
These eight players earned their nominations by being named Player of the Match in their respective games as the second round of the league commenced over the weekend.
The winner of the award will receive K50,000 and additional items from GM Plastics.
