Chakwera departs Maputo for 44th SADC Heads of State Summit in Harare

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has departed Maputo, Mozambique, for Harare, Zimbabwe, where he will attend the 44th SADC Heads of State Summit.

Dr Chakwera was seen off by Mozambique’s Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Carlos Zacarias, alongside senior government officials from both countries.

The Malawi leader was on a two-day working visit to Mozambique, during which he signed several agreements in various sectors, including energy and petroleum.

He was also honoured with a Doctorate Degree in International Cooperation for Development by Joaquim Chissano University.
