Malawi Broadcasting Corporation Director General George Kasakula has urged businesses, organisations and government entities to tap from the huge audience which the media house commands.
Kasakula’s remarks follow results of a survey by Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) which show that MBC TV and Radio are the most watched and listened to platforms in Malawi.
According to Kasakula, the results of the survey are evidence enough that the corporation has the audience for advertisers to exploit for their goods and services.
“We are humbled by the results of the survey and they will act as an encouragement to all of us at MBC to work harder,” Kasakula said.
The results of the survey show that 46.8 percent of Malawians watch MBC TV 1 while 36.3 percent of Malawians listen to MBC Radio 1 making it the most followed media house in Malawi.
