Zikhale for speedy services at Immigration Headquarters

Minister of Homeland Security Ken Zikhale Ng’oma says he wants officers at the Department of Immigration Services to professionally serve Malawians and those in need of passports in a speedy manner.

Ng’oma made the remarks after he paid a surprise visit to Immigration Headquarters in Blantyre.

The visit follows public concerns over delays in issuance of passports after the process resumed recently.

The minister and officers at the department were locked up in a meeting over the same. According to people we found waiting to be served at the headquarters, the minister’s impromptu visit gives them hope that delivery of services will improve and asked the minister to come again and monitor if there’s change.
