Veteran US actor John Amos, famed for his role on Good Times show and his portrayal of Cleo McDowell in the movie Coming to America has died.
His son Kelly Christopher Amos is quoted by the press in the US as saying his father died in Los Angeles on August 21 at the age of 84.
The senior Amos had a degree in sociology obtained from Colorado State University and briefly worked as a social worker in New York before establishing his mark as one of Hollywood’s top actors.
Another iconic actor from the Coming to America movie, James Earl Jones, who portrayed King Jofa Jeffrey, died last month.
