Zomba District Council is celebrating its Local Authority Performance Assessment (LAPA) results this afternoon by hosting a big party.
Among other activities, the council will reward the best-performing sectors and encourage everyone to work extra hard.
The council secured seventh position, having failed in the last assessment.
The achievement has enabled the council to win K742 million Government to Enable Service Delivery (GESD) performance-based grant.
Members of Parliament, councillors, chiefs, council stakeholders, and all staff are attending the party.
