Marsh, one of the leading insurance brokers and risk advisors in the country, has donated relief items worth K15 million to five hundred households in Ntchisi to combat food insecurity caused by dry spells.
During the donation, Hudson Kantwanje, Head of Finance and Administration at Marsh Malawi, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting communities affected by climate change.
Rhonnie Kangamwa, Disaster Risk Management Officer at Ntchisi District Council and representing the Department of Disaster Management Affairs, expressed gratitude for the timely donation. She noted that the support will help part of the 12,000 people affected by the dry spells in the area and called for more assistance.
Some of the relief items donated include maize flour, sugar, soap, and cooking oil, all aimed at alleviating the immediate needs of the affected households.
