Four top teams from the recently concluded Central Region Football Association (CRFA) League will mark their departure with a send-off bonanza.
CRFA made the announcement in Lilongwe where it also received a K1.5 million donation from apostle Vitumbiko Mkandawire as the association embarks on funds mobilisation for the bonanza, which they plan to hold towards the end of the month.
Vice Chairperson for CRFA, Abel Chiumia, said the arrangement seeks to motivate the teams ahead of their new life in the elite league and national division league.
He said they plan to raise more than K4 million and has therefore appealed for support.
Apostle Mkandawire who is also the owner of Panthers Football Club expressed commitment to sports development and has urged other companies and individuals to complement the football transformation agenda.
The four teams which are set to battle out are the 2024 Chipiku league Champions Blues Eagles, Villa FC, St Gabriel Zitha and Mitundu Baptist who secured national division slots after finishing in the top four of the central region football league.
