TNM Mpamba, a subsidiary of Telekom Networks Malawi Plc (TNM), has announced a K7.5 million sponsorship package for the upcoming 2025 Annual Conference of the Bankers Association of Malawi (BAM).
During the cheque handover ceremony, TNM Mpamba General Manager, Chris Sukasuka, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Malawi’s financial services sector through technology-driven solutions.
“Banking and telecommunications share a mutual vision of delivering secure, customer-focused, and innovative services,” said Sukasuka.
“This sponsorship emphasises TNM’s dedication to fostering collaboration, innovation, and economic growth,” added Sukasuka.
He observed that the conference’s theme, “Facing the Future Together: The Phenomenal Power of Synergy”, mirrors TNM’s strategy of strengthening partnerships across the financial ecosystem.
In her remarks, BAM Chief Executive Officer, Lyness Nkungula, commended TNM for its continued investment in the sector, describing the support as a demonstration of the company’s belief in the power of collaboration to transform Malawi’s economy.
“We are honoured to receive this generous contribution from TNM Mpamba,” said Nkungula. “This support will help us deliver a conference that unites stakeholders to shape a resilient and inclusive financial sector for the benefit of all Malawians.”
The Annual Bankers Conference is recognised as one of the country’s leading financial sector gatherings, bringing together banking executives, policymakers, and innovators to address industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. This year’s event will be held from 14 to 16 August 2025 at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi.
