‘Support MACRA’s Connect a School initiative’

Minister of Education, Madalitso Kambawuwa Wirima, has called on Malawians to support the MACRA’s Connect a School” initiative, which aims to expose learners to global technological advancements.

Wirima made the remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony of an ICT laboratory to be built at Chamama CDSS in Kasungu District where she emphasised that for the initiative to work, everyone should help prevent vandalism and that contractors should build strong and durable laboratories.

Ronald Tembo, head of the Universal Fund at MACRA, added that the initiative will also include ICT training for teachers’ training colleges, local leaders, authorities and parents, offering free internet hotspots to enhance connectivity.
