FINCA Malawi officials are speaking highly of their product, Clean Energy Loans, aimed at facilitating the transition from traditional biomass fuels such as firewood and charcoal to clean and efficient energy sources for cooking and lighting.
To pull off the initiative, they partnered 265 Energy, a local company that provides reliable energy solutions.
Marketing Manager for FINCA Malawi, Takondwa Chirwa, said customers will be accessing special loans for the purchase of cooking equipment such as Gas appliances and solar systems among others.
The special loan product targets 20,000 customers of the financial institution, who will be accessing the loans after five days of application.
