Soche Police reduces crime by 23 percent in 2024

Soche Police Station in Blantyre has reported a 23 percent reduction in criminal activities within their policing area during the first six months of this year.

Station Officer-in-Charge Helbert Njolwa, speaking at a Station Executive Committee (SEC) meeting, revealed that the station recorded 262 cases during this period in 2024, down from 331 cases during the same period in 2023.

Njolwa attributed this reduction to enhanced security patrols and good coordination between the police and the public.

Chairperson for Soche Police SEC, Jefferson Millanzi lauded the continued cooperation between the police and the communities within the policing area.

Soche Police Station oversees several areas, including Manje, Zingwangwa, Naperi, Manja, Chitawira, Tiziwane, and Chinyonga.
