Sub Inspector Cliff Kokha,45, of Mangochi Police Station has died after being involved in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday in Mangochi District.
Publicist for Mangochi Police, Amina Tepani Daudi, confirmed that Kokha, who was on a motorbike, collided with another motorcyclist Meja Majidu.
She said the accident occurred when Majidu suddenly re-entered a main road without signaling, causing the collision.
“Kokha suffered severe head injuries and a fractured nose while Majidu sustained head injuries and arm fractures,” Daudi said.
Both riders were taken to Mangochi District Hospital where Kokha was pronounced dead on arrival.
