PCL, former bosses case starts

The Industrial Relations Court in Blantyre has started hearing the unfair dismissal case in which former bosses George Patridge, Bernard Ndau and Elizabeth Mafeni are suing the conglomerate.

Patridge was PCL’s Chief Executive Officer, Mafeni was Group Finance Controller while Ndau was Company Secretary.

The three were relieved of their duties in December 2021 in what PCL described as a functional review.

They are now accusing PCL of unfair dismissal arguing they were not consulted among others.

The case has since been adjourned to this afternoon.
