Patrick Mwaungulu has scored two goals in two appearances for TP Mazembe after finally registering for the team following a FIFA transfer ban.
His latest came on Sunday when he scored the lone goal through a freekick against AS Maniema Union where he was also voted as the man-of-the-match.
He expressed satisfaction with his performance.
“Happy to have been featured on the score board in style, scoring a decider goal in the dying minutes, and recognized as man of the match,” Mwaungulu wrote on his Facebook page.
Mwaungulu scored his first goal against Leis Aigles du Congo in a 2-1 loss on 2 April, 2025.
Former footballer turned sports analyst Chimango Kayira commended the youngster for his patience in seizing the opportunity.
“Having a young player, you often have patience with them on their settling into such a big club but Patrick seems to be a quick learner. In his first two games, he has already stamped authority which is very rare,” Kayira said.
The ex-Bullets player, 23, was signed by Mazembe last August.
However, he failed to play for them due to a FIFA transfer ban and was subsequently loaned out to Don Bosco, a DRC Top flight side.
