MRA trains journalists on new tax laws

Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) is today drilling Blantyre-based journalists on new tax laws in the 2024/25 financial year.

Opening the session, MRA Commissioner General, John Biziwick, said the media play an integral part in fostering a voluntary tax compliance culture hence the engagement.

Susan Dossi, Chairperson for Parliamentary Committee on Media, urged the media to reach out to all people with messages of tax.

Among others, the journalists will be trained on new domestic tax measures, update on reforms and procedures for accessing information in MRA.
