Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Commissioner Francis Kasaila has urged the media to step up efforts in sensitising the public about the changes in the electoral laws ahead of the 2025 polls.
Kasaila made the call at the Misa Malawi Annual Media Awards Gala Dinner underway at Nkopola, Mangochi.
Kasaila emphasised the crucial role the media plays in ensuring free and fair elections.
He called on both public and private media houses to provide equal opportunities for candidates to share their manifestos without bias.
This, he believes, will enable voters to make informed decisions at the polls.
