The Ministry of Labour says the Israeli government has cleared the initial list of 95 Malawians for the temporary employment in agriculture sector in Israel.
According to a circular by the ministry, the cleared people are required to undergo medical examination and police clearance of criminal record before traveling to Israel.
The Ministry of Labour further said the process of clearing successful names by Israeli government will be done in phases until all the 500 positions of the first job order are filled.
The Israeli government has also cleared Mzuzu, Zomba, Kamuzu and Queen Elizabeth central hospitals as the testing centres for the prospected agricultural workers travelling to Israel.
Early this year, Malawi government with approval of National Assembly signed a labour export deal with Israeli government which will see 10,000 Malawians getting employed in Israel farms.
