ECAMA looks to tackle economic challenges at Lake Conference

Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) is optimistic that this year’s Lake Conference will provide an opportunity for members to deliberate on the state of the country’s economy and find alternatives to change the growth trajectory.

Acting President of ECAMA, Dr Bertha Bangara Chikadza, made the remarks in Blantyre when FDH Bank donated K6 million towards the conference, scheduled for 13th to 15th November,2024.

“Malawi has been hit by natural disasters back to back including dry spells which have contributed to a high inflation rate,” she said.

The conference will be held under the theme “Economic Priorities for a Vulnerable Economy”.
