President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is expected to officially launch the Magwero Industrial Park at Area 55 in Lilongwe this morning.
Government acquired 200 million dollars from AFREXIM Bank for the project and Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms is expected to develop the place.
About 400 hectares of land has been allocated towards the development and once completed the place is expected to have different industries specialised in agroprocessing, chemical and plastic.
Once operational the Industrial Park is expected to help in the country’s economic transformation as envisaged in Malawi 2063 Agenda.
