President Dr Lazarus Chakwera who is in New York for the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly has met the Director General for the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Gilbert Houngbo.

Houngbo, a Togolese, is the first African to hold the top job at ILO.

President Chakwera apart from attending the summit where he is expected to present Malawi’s statement on 21 September, is courting investors to open up businesses in Malawi who will in return provide employment opportunities to more Malawians.
