Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation Malawi says it is addressing gaps in the health sector by conducting evidence-based research to promote good health among pregnant women, neonates, and children.

The institution’s Executive Director, Phoebe Nyasulu, said this in her opening remarks of the third Research, Art, Innovation, Scholarship and Education Symposium (RAISE) underway in Lilongwe which is under the theme “Promoting Excellent Health for all Through Evidence-based Research Amidst Prevailing Challenges”.

She added that Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation has tested over one million people on HIV and AIDS last year.
