Sky Energy Africa is set to become the first company to launch electrical vehicles in Malawi.

The lineup of the new vehicles which will only be powered by electricity instead of fuel includes renowned EV brands such as Citroen, Wuling Air, BYD and Tesla.

Speaking to MBC ahead of the launch, founder of the company, Schizzo Thomson, said they are launching the new line of transportation to offer the market an evoked set.

“The driving force behind this initiative is sustainability by making sure that we are balancing our economy through adoption of sustainable technologies in the transport sector,” said Thomson.

Thomson added that electrical vehicles will be affordable to Malawians as they will be coming to Malawi duty-free. MBC TV will broadcast the event live starting from 7 pm this evening.
