TNM contributes K3.5 million to MEI conference

Mobile telecommunications provider TNM has donated K3.5 million to the Malawi Engineering Institution (MEI) for its 2024 Lakeshore conference, slated for 12-13 September 2024 in Mangochi.

Presenting the contribution, TNM Chief Technical Officer Lloyd Gowera emphasized the importance of adapting to technological changes, stating that the conference will provide an opportunity for engineers to assess ways to enhance their work for the country’s development.

Chairperson of the organizing committee for the Malawi Engineering Institution, Engineer Kondwani Chilemba, said the donation by TNM will significantly contribute to the conference’s success.

Chilemba highlighted that the conference aims to evaluate infrastructure sustainability, professional development, innovation, and automation, among other themes.

The 2024 MEI conference will be held under the theme “Evaluating Engineering Professionals in Attainment of Malawi 2063.”
