CHAKWERA FOR PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has called on Malawians to foster love and peaceful co-existence during the festive season.

He was speaking in Mangochi at Saint Matias Anglican Church in Monkey-bay where he lead congregants in celebrating Christmas Day in line with other Christians across the globe.

Dr Chakwera spoke of the need for people and the entire nation to follow the Christmas spirit during the festive season.

the Vicar General for the Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire, Rev. Canon Grant Timpuza Tebulo, thanked the President and the First Lady for attending the worship service and pledged continued support to the government for sustainable development of the country and the church ministry.

After the prayers, the First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera, handed over Christmas gifts to the clergy, the elderly as well as children at the church. – Reported by Mirriam Kaliza, MBC Online Services.
