Police in Mangochi have apprehended 19-year-old Anusa Sausande for allegedly stabbing to death 21-year-old Kassim Chilambe following a tumultuous love triangle.
Spokesperson for Mangochi Police Station, Amina Tepani Daudi, confirmed that the incident happened on Sunday at Nkaweya Village, Traditional Authority Ntonda in Chilipa Township within the same district.
According Daudi, the two were staying in the same vicinity and the female involved opted to pursue a relationship with the now deceased Chilambe.
This decision resulted in Sausande stabbing Chilambe in the chest.
Chilambe died due to severe blood loss, as confirmed by medical personnel at Phirilongwe Health Centre.
The suspect will face murder charges in court.
