The lead singer of the reggae group Morgan Heritage, Peter Anthony Morgan, better known as Peetah, died on Sunday, according to a statement issued by the band.
The reggae community across the globe is mourning the loss of the renowned reggae band member, who has died at the age of 46.
Peetah, who was very popular in the reggae community, is celebrated for his distinctive vocals on iconic tracks like “Tell Me How Come” “Down by the river” and “Don’t Haffi Dread.”
Morgan Heritage Band announced the death of the iconic lead singer through their social media page that he died on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
Formed in 1994, the Morgan Heritage has made a significant impact on the reggae scene.
Peetah Morgan led the band through various musical phases, contributing to albums like More Teachings, Full Circle and Mission in Progress.
The Jamaican multi-platinum outfit also performed at Malawi’s Silver Stadium in 2015.
