Youths encouraged to invest on MSE

A call has gone out to young people in the country to invest on the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE) to enhance their economic gains.

General Secretary of Minority Shareholders Association of Listed companies (MISALICO), Frank Harawa, made the call during a Youth and Financial Literacy Summit in Blantyre.

The summit brought together young people from universities, secondary schools and churches and was aimed at enlightening them on the benefits of investing in shares through Stock Mareket.

Chairlady for MISALICO Youth, Wyness Yotamu Jere and Phillip Ndhlazi, a participant from Blantyre, said alot of young people lack pertinent information to do with stock market hence appealing for more conversation on the same.

Over 200 youths attended the summit, held with financial support from Old Mutual.
