Police at Jenda in Mzimba District have arrested two people for being found in possession of cannabis sativa without a permit at Kathundu in the district.
Jenda Police’s publicist, MacFarlen Mseteka, says the arrests came after Police followed up on a tip from well-wishers at Kathundu, leading to the arrest of Gift Mziya 20 and his brother Bernard 22 who were in possession of six shangaan bags of cannabis sativa, each weighing 29 kilograms.
Mseteka says the suspects have been charged with being found in possession of cannabis sativa without a licence and they will soon appear before court.
All the two suspects come from Chibale village, Traditional Authority Mzikubola in Mzimba district.
