Tea Association of Malawi is projecting an increased produce this year despite unfavourable weather conditions.
The association’s Chief Executive Officer, Donda Chinangwa, shared the projections in Blantyre during an interface with Solidaridad, an organisation supporting tea production in Malawi.
This year’s rainy season has been characterised by dry spells, especially in the Southern Region where most tea comes from.
Last year, Malawi realised 45 million Kilogrammes of tea.
