The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has postponed to April 2024 a fundraising dinner it was planning to hold on March 1 at the Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
Fundraising Committee Chairperson, Twikale Chirwa, says the decision was arrived at to give ample time for preparations and woo potential sponsors.
“We have postponed the event to April to give more time to responses from the corporate world and football fraternity,” Chirwa said.
Acting SULOM president, Gilbert Mittawa, said the dinner is aimed at raising funds for the league and Clubs participating in the TNM Super League.
The 2024 football season is scheduled to kick off on March 30, 2024, with the charity shield.
