NBM donates K2.5 million to Wealth Women Summit

The National Bank of Malawi (NBM) has today rendered support towards the forthcoming Wealth Women Summit by making a K2.5 Million donation.

Scheduled to run from March 1 to March 2, 2024, at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC), the 4th edition of the summit will be held under the theme “Inspire Inclusion.”

Organised by the CEO Africa Round Table (Malawi Chapter), the summit aims at fostering new bonds and collective effort among women, inspiring participants to aspire for equity, leadership, and all aspects of effective leadership, among others.

NBM’s Marketing and Corporate Affairs Manager, Akossa Hiwa, affirmed the bank’s commitment to equal opportunities.

“As NBM, 41% of our workforce comprises women, and some of them will attend the summit. We believe it will provide them with valuable knowledge and skills to enhance their careers.”

George Damson, a Board Member of the chapter, expressed gratitude for the donation, saying it reaffirms the bank’s dedication to promoting diversity.
