Stakeholders unite for Njamba Freedom Park cause

In a joint effort aimed at preserving the significance of Njamba Freedom Park, stakeholders have convened in Blantyre to raise awareness and devise strategies to protect this landmark.

Njamba Freedom Park has for a long time been in an appalling state, with its tree cover dwindling due to widespread tree-cutting activities.

The Coordination Union for Rehabilitation of the Environment (CURE), an umbrella organisation for NGOs dedicated to environmental protection and climate change awareness, is leading the initiative.

The initiative seeks to highlight the urgency needed to safeguard the park, which is highly patronised by the public, particularly Blantyre residents and political parties.
